Festivals and Cultural Events In Italy 2020

There is plenty of cultural events to enjoy throughout Italy during the month of October!

From October 22 – 25, the streets of Padua will transform into the international capital of motor vehicles for the occasion! The hope is that the experience will bring guests to enjoy everything the city has to offer – from its food to its history, museums and monuments. You can enjoy over 4,500 vintage cars and motorcycles on display and for sale, and meet tradesmen from the heritage, modelling and vintage worlds. Find more information and tickets here.

Piemonte

Alba International White Truffle Fair  | October 10 – December 8

Enjoy the 90th edition of Alba International White Truffle Fair, the biggest international fair dedicated to truffles growing in the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. The Fair even offers a child-friendly component on Saturday and Sunday with a kitchen where kids can learn about food, an area to craft, and a spaces dedicated to little ones under three complete with a relaxation area, changing table and a reserved area for mothers to breastfeed. Yoga Festival in Milan | October 3 – 4, 10 – 11

This special edition of Yoga Festival will be held online and live in Milan at at Superstudio Più. There will be workshops, appearances by world-renowned yoga teachers, live music performances and more. Find more information here

Trentino Alto-Adige

Bread and Strudel Market | October 2 – 4

During the first weekend in October, The Piazza Duomo in Bressanone will be home to the Bread and Strudel Market. At the market you can enjoy all of the different bread varieties. The wide range of options are due to the regional and cultural peculiarities of Alto Adige.

The first several day of October are dedicated to Clown & Clown, a festival celebrating the art of clowing with street artists, jugglers, acrobats, circus performers, musicians, magicians, clown doctors and famous guests.

Eurochocolate | October 16 – 25

Lazio Rome Film Festival | October 15 – 25

Museo dei Confetti | open all year

Open again since June, you can once again visit the Museo dei Confetti. Founded over 30 years ago, you can enjoy seeing old machines and equipment used for the production of confetti and several objects relating to the ancient Sulmonese art of confectionary.

Molise

The Mysteries’ Museum  | open daily

The Mysteries Museum, inaugurated 14 years ago this month, collects the costumes of the Mysteries Feast in Campobasso, which is celebrated every year on the day of Corpus Domini

Campania

Festival delle Mongolfiere | October 10 – 18

Taking place in the Archaeological Site of Paestum, the Balloon Festival offers the opportunity to fly over the ruins of the Temples of Paestum. Find more details here.
