Ciao! My name’s Bella and I am a contributing editor at Live in Italy. I’m a fan of sarcasm and red wine (together, naturally) and dislike stingy servings at restaurants, but opt for trattorias where possible. My journo career began reviewing, interviewing and head banging along to the underdogs of the music industry in Brighton’s packed out pubs (where I studied English Literature and Drama), the rest is history. Since my first gig writing for one of the UK’s largest alternative music blogs, One Stop Record Shop, I have undertaken stints at Radio URF and magazines such as Red, Good Housekeeping, Prima, Country Living, Best and Financially Fabulous. I am a zealous follower of current affairs, well-practised in writing for print and online as well as film photography. My specialisms include: conscious consumerism, women’s issues, youth culture and greener living. Though a proud Londoner by birth, I am a vocal member of a highly multi-cultural family and have lived in Italy, Salento, every summer for the last 12 years. I have developed a deep love for Italian culture and now have many friends and family there. Speaking of Salento … as a trained ballet dancer yet to master the Pizzica, I’m looking for a tutor.
