An Inside Look at Arte & Vino at Lucid Art Gallery During Miami Art Week
Held during Miami Art Week, the Federdoc in Miami experience brought Italian wine heritage, cultural storytelling, and artistic expression together on December 5 at Lucid Art Gallery in the Design District. Hosted by Lucid owner Payal Tak, the evening welcomed an estimated 300 guests who enjoyed Prosecco, authentic Italian bites by Borti Pasta Bar, live art, and Federdoc’s educational booklets amid the vibrant works of 22 international artists featured in this year’s edition of CHROMA.

Live in Italy Magazine proudly served as a media partner for the event, supporting Federdoc’s mission to introduce audiences to the meaning and value of Italy’s Protected Designations of Origin (PDO).
A Glass of Prosecco and a Moment of Discovery
Guests enjoyed Prosecco, a bright and celebratory pour that complemented the creative energy inside the gallery. The setting felt personal and relaxed, as attendees sipped their glasses while surrounded by CHROMA’s striking, international works.

At the heart of the evening were Federdoc’s educational booklets—visually engaging guides that introduced guests to the structure of Italy’s PDO wine system, from D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. classifications to regional distinctions and the importance of origin.
Many attendees spent time reading through the booklets and discussing the maps, charts, and denomination overviews. Others took them home, creating an educational experience that extended well beyond the event itself.
Art in Motion: Nadine Vogel’s Live Painting
A highlight of the evening was a live painting performance by Nadine Vogel, a participating CHROMA 2025 artist. Vogel worked with a mix of conventional art tools and a playful touch—most memorably, a balloon dipped in paint—which delighted guests and added spontaneity to the creative atmosphere.

As her canvas evolved, visitors moved between her performance, their glasses of Prosecco, and Federdoc’s educational displays, creating a natural rhythm that underscored the night’s themes of origin, creativity, and cultural dialogue.
A Surprise Appearance: The King of Collage
Energy lifted even further when The King of Collage made an unexpected appearance, arriving with his team in a fully collaged sports car. His collaged face transformed him into a living extension of his art.

He shared stories of a recent stay in Corleone, describing how Sicily’s textures and traditions inspire his work. He also expressed enthusiasm for the evening’s concept, noting how naturally the themes of collage, identity, and Italian wine—especially Prosecco—fit together.
His presence added a joyful and unforgettable element to the event.
Federdoc’s Mission, in Their Own Words
To help guests understand the deeper purpose behind Federdoc’s international outreach, President Giangiacomo Gallarati Scotti Bonaldi offered this insight:

“Wine education is fundamental because PDO wines offer consumers assurance—quality, authenticity, and connection to territory.”
A Celebration Beyond the Glass

Although Prosecco was the single pour of the night, Arte & Vino offered far more than a tasting experience. It invited guests to see wine as cultural heritage—shaped by territory, tradition, and the Italian communities that safeguard its identity.
The evening served as a centerpiece of Federdoc in Miami, blending art, education, conversation, and community in an atmosphere that felt both elevated and welcoming. Visit Federdoc’s website to learn more.
