The Amateurs Abroad

Lisa and Lorrah are sisters renovating their house in Italy, traveling, and enjoying life. By embracing their amateur status, they help to motivate others to follow their ways and join them on a life of adventure. They have also made plenty of friends along the way via house hunting for others in Mussomeli.

La Bolla Puglia

Pete and Sally’s story began when they moved from the UK to live at La Bolla in Puglia. It is a traditional stone farmhouse that they have renovated to include solar energy for electricity and harvested rainfall for water supply. To top it off, they have chosen to create a drought tolerant Mediterranean garden in various areas around La Bolla, helping to give plant interest throughout the year.

Debbie and Stijn sold all of their things in the States in exchange for a life of travel. After traversing through Europe, they fell head over heels in love with Umbria. They even ended up buying and renovating a house there! Even though Italy is their new home, they have still not given up the life of a traveler.
